For use of the online Instructus Skills ERR workbook both the provider and learner will need to register for the e-learning portal. We advise the provider registers and sets up their account first.
Providers can purchase access to the online Instructus Skills ERR workbook via the ‘Workbooks’ page, here you can purchase learner access to the workbook by any quantity you require, at £5 per learner or workbook.
Once the learner has been approved by the provider they may access and download resources paid for by the provider. The learner can then complete the Instructus Skills ERR workbook from their own computer. We strongly recommend downloading the latest version of Adobe in order to access the full functionality of the workbook and avoid any issues. Those downloading the workbook should ensure they have at least Adobe version X. Once the learner has completed the online Instructus Skills ERR workbook they can upload this onto the ‘Upload Workbook’ page, the provider will receive notification when this action has taken place.
The provider who receives the notification email can now review learner’s Instructus Skills ERR workbook and approve or fail the Instructus Skills ERR workbook submission. The learner will receive notification of the outcome of their submission. The learner can resubmit the workbook as many times as required until they pass at no additional cost.
Once you have registered for the e-learning portal and logged in you will be able to find the ERR workbook on the ‘Workbooks’ page. Here you can purchase access to the Instructus Skills ERR workbook in the form of credits. Each copy of the ERR workbook is the equivalent of one credit, for the Instructus Skills ERR workbook for example each credit is £5. You can therefore purchase multiple credits and these will be stored until your learner downloads a copy of the Instructus Skills workbook and a credit will be deducted from the balance.
We are pleased to announce that, in addition to the card payment method available directly through the site, you can now pay by invoice. To arrange this, please contact Cassie Hannah on 020 7091 9627.
In some cases training providers will have purchased access credits for their learners, in these instances when you login and access the ‘Workbooks’ page the message that your provider has purchased a license will appear and you will be able to download the file. If you are a learner purchasing your own version of the Instructus Skills ERR workbook then once on the ‘Workbooks’ page the purchase button will appear along the workbook and you should follow payment instructions.
The e-learning portal is free to register and you can access free content via the ‘Documents’ page. On the ‘Workbooks’ page you will find the Instructus Skills ERR workbook and the model ERR answerbook for providers at cost.
Licences are available to centres with over 100 learners expected to use the Instructus Skills ERR workbook per annum. Please contact Cassie Hannah on 020 7091 9627 to discuss purchasing a licence for your centre.
If your or learner is completing a Instructus Skills (Skills CFA) apprenticeship framework it is best to first check the framework document, you can find the framework documents in the AFO library.
For the combined Diploma qualifications in Business Administration, Customer Service, Team Leading and Management it is a framework requirement to complete an ERR component, it is not embedded within the qualification. The Instructus Skills ERR workbook is one possible way to meet the ERR component and framework requirement.
Learners commencing their apprenticeship on or after 1 May should complete the online Instructus Skills ERR workbook; however there will be a dual running period whereby learners commencing their apprenticeships on or after 1 May can also complete the Skills CFA workbook up until 30 June 2015. The Skills CFA ERR workbook was previously available on the Skills CFA website and can be used by learners who started their apprenticeship prior to the 30 April 2015. The Skills CFA ERR workbook is no longer readily available, only saved copies can now be accessed.

It should then be reloaded to the site whereby the provider or assessor will be notified and they can view a PDF version which cannot be printed but will be kept on their e-learning portal account.
